Zhong Zheng
Zhong Zheng was born on Jun 17, 1970 in China. Zhong Zheng's big-screen debut came with Baober in Love directed by Shaohong Li in 2004.
Zheng Zhong is a native Beijinger whose career has put him on the forefront of China's emerging international film culture. Fluent in English, Zheng Zhong was involved in writing and performing live theater in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago throughout most the 1990s before returning to China to pen some of the most popular TV series in Chinese history. Working alongside director Li Shaohong, Zheng Zhong wrote such award-winning TV dramas as PALACE OF DESIRE (1999) and ORANGES TURN RIPE (2001). In 2004, Zheng Zhong's script for BAOBER IN LOVE starring Zhou Xun was awarded the "Youth Forum" award at the 2004 Berlin Film Festival. In 2009, working alongside a truly international cast and crew, Zheng Zhong make his directorial debut with GASP-a visually radical film starring Ge You and John Savage and one of the top grossing Chinese films of 2009.
