Born in 1981 in Taiwan, Yi-Chien Yang is a girl from Kaohsiung in the south of the island, with outstanding background in music performance, but who turned to pursue her own movie dream. With Aufbaustudium (Ph.d. of Violin Performance) from Hochschule für Musik und Theather München, Yang began her new career after graduation. Her first novel "Just Intonation" won the Million Award in the Crown Novel award, the biggest award for Chinese novel; her first screenplay won the best screenplay in the Excellent Screenwriting Award held by Taiwanese government in 2008. "2+1" is the first shot film by Yang, shot in the Kaohsiung city, Love River and Kaohsiung Senior High School.
