Her decision to join the film-making industry as an aspiring actress marked a dramatic turn in her life, which paved the way for a more acute turning point when she was unexpectedly selected for her career-defining role in Mohamed Khan's Factory Girl. Yasmin played the role of a working girl who falls under the spell of love, transcending with this experience class difference to finally stand alone in face of a merciless traditional society that is afraid of love. Standing as one of her most indelible performances, Great Khan predicted that the young actress's performance will definitely land her a prestigious Best Actress award.However, Khan was not 100% accurate in his prediction, as the young actress did not only receive one award but four- so far; the Best Actress Award from Dubai International Film Festival 2013, Best Actress Award from Malmo Arab Film Festival in Sweden, Best Actress Award at the 18th Egyptian National Film Festival and most recently, the Best Actress Award at the 41st Egyptian Film Association Festival.In 2010, Yasmin made her first foray into acting through television by playing the role of one of the leading five characters in Ard Khas by Hadi El Bagoury, which initiated her success and was followed by her participation in several films including; Ahmed Helmy's X-Large, Wahed Saheh, Al Maslaha and Taraf Talet, which won Yasmin her role in Mohamed Khan's Factory Girl, marking her breakthrough in cinema. Afterwards, Raeis collaborated with comedian Ahmed Helmy once again in Amr Salama's Made in Egypt before setting to star in a string of films including; Men Dahr Ragel, opposite of Asser Yassin, and Kiss Me Not, written and directed by Ahmed Amer.Born to a Palestinian father and an Egyptian mother, Yasmin is married to director Hadi El Bagoury, with whom she has previously collaborated in the TV drama Ard Khas and cinema hit Wahed Saheh.
