Walter Schultheiß is a German actor, author and painter. He married Trudel Wulle an actress from Stuttgart on 25 May 1950. His stage career began in 1947 as Pedro del Vegas in the Operette "Maske in Blau". Until today he stands on the stage in numerous roles. He became famous starting 1963 with his "Strassenkehrer Sketche" (comedies of a Swabian sweeper) in the former South German broadcast: For 20 years Schultheiss amused the listeners with his "sweeper colleague" Werner Veith. In comedies and on the radio he performed with other famous Swabian actors e.g. Oscar Mueller, Oscar Heiler, Willy Sailer und Willy Reichert. On the television he performed in many successful family series and films as the typical Swabian. Even now in his 80s he still performs regularly in the "Komoedie im Marquardt" in Stuttgart. Apart from acting Schultheiss wrote witty poems and dialogs about his fellow-Swabians. In his spare time he enjoys painting.
