Vanesa Tomasino is a SAG and ACTRA LatinX actress, born in El Salvador and with a Mexican Canadian family.Her acting work includes: a supporting lead role in the Syfy TV Movie "Chupacabra vs the Alamo" alongside Erik Estrada and Julia Benson; a recurring role in the animated series'Martha Speaks'(Carolina); a lead role in 'A girl like me: The Gwen Araujo Story'(Directed by Agnieszka Holland); and the Hallmark TV movies 'Mr. Miracle' and 'The most wonderful time of the year.'Vanesa was also a radio and TV host in Vancouver,Canada.Vanesa has a Master's degree in Political Science and is a Political Science PhD candidate. She is the winner of a SSHRC scholarship to Honour Nelson Mandela for her studies on democracy and youth.Vanesa is also the founder of the first professional acting for film and TV studio SAS El Salvador , and the first agency representing actors in El Salvador Sivar Actors. She is the director and founder of the Salvadoran short film festival Sivar en Cortos (SEC).
