N. Lebedev Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a founding member of The Stefan University and a founder/series editor of the several book series. V. Stefan is the inventor of the ultra short wavelength beat-wave driven free electron laser. His current research is focused on laser neurophysics and laser genomic medical physics.
