Trevor Miller is a British born writer/director, author and playwright whose writing the Sunday Times called "...sharp and lacerating like a broken bottle." His first novel, Trip City, was published by science fiction legend Brian Aldiss' Avernus Press; and dubbed by The London Evening Standard as "An On The Road for Acid House." More recently, Miller has lived in Los Angeles working on screenplays with a diverse roster of actors including Sylvester Stallone, Ryan O'Neal and Laurence Fishburne.Growing up in Manchester, England during the heyday of Factory Records, The Hacienda and the tail-end of punk rock - Miller spent formative years in his father's Reggae record shop, before moving to London, where he studied Media at The University of Westminster.After writing for NME , Melody Maker and directing music videos with Academy Award nominated cinematographer Seamus McGarvey, Miller traveled the world under the pseudonym 'Mr Love' working as a DJ/Emcee and Nightclub Promoter in Amsterdam, Paris, New York and Miami. In 1993, Miller permanently relocated to Los Angeles, where he launched Men's Perspective Magazine and became Editorial Director of Metropolis Publications - regularly quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Folio Magazine. Consulting work for brands like Warner Bros, Budweiser and Triumph Motorcycles ultimately shifted into a career in screenwriting.After working on numerous rewrites at Franchise Pictures, Millennium and Mobius International - Miller crossed into the independent sector serving as both Writer and Editor for a diverse roster of Directors including Larry Clark, James Gartner and Jesse Dylan as well as becoming in-house Editor for Chris Hanley at Muse Productions (American Psycho, Virgin Suicides).Miller's directorial, feature debut entitled 'Riot On Redchurch Street' was produced by Hamish McAlpine (Funny Games) and premiered at The East End Film Festival (London) in 2013. Time Out described it as "gritty and epic."December 2020, Trevor Miller will complete his MFA in screenwriting from the prestigious David Lynch Graduate School of Cinematic Arts.
