He graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Oswego, with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Communications Studies. He is also a graduate of the Second City Improv Conservatory. He is the author of three books collecting his nationally syndicated humor column, "Lost Journal." He moved to Los Angeles in 2018.
