Theresa Dern was born in Boston, Massachussetts. She has been acting since high school, studying with Children's Theater Workshop. From there she moved on to community theater with roles in such plays as "Present Laughter" by Noel Coward in the role of Daphne, "Steel Magnolias" as Ouiser, and "Last Roar Gilded Lion" as Julia. She also performed in a sketch comedy ensemble called "The New Cruelty". She has made the transition to film with lead and supporting roles in several independent films in the Boston area, including "Murder University" from Scorpio Film Releasing, "Falcyyr" from Unicovia Pictures, and "A Bad Luck Guy In A Bad Luck Town" from Transparent Frog Films.
