Taisiya Igumentseva was born January 10,1989, in Moscow. She graduated from the Orthodox pre-school "Peresvet" and the Moscow Pedagogical High School 1505. She studied German language courses at the Institute Goethe at the Consulate of Germany in Russia. In 2012 she graduated from the Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. Gerasimov (VGIK). Her the documentary workshop advisor was producer, director, and writer Aleksey Uchitel. Her graduation short film was Doroga na (2011) ("The Road To").In 2012 Doroga na (2011) ("The Road To") was the Grand Prix in the Cinefondacion Programme of the Cannes International Film Festival 2012.Her 2012 awards also include the following -- Open Russian Film Festival Kinotavr 2012: Future Shorts Award and Special Diploma for Artistic Bravery and Nonconformism.
