Although small in statue, (he was under 5'), he had an abundance of energy that saw him working well into his 90's. At the age of eighty he received rave notices for his performance as Estragon in Waiting for Godot for the Causes Theatre Company. He was a stalwart of the light comedy series with regular guest appearances on the Benny Hill show. Committed to the profession at all levels he was one of the founding fathers of British Actors Equity.
