Sofia Niño de Rivera was born on Nov 23, 1981 in Mexico. Sofia Niño de Rivera's big-screen debut came with Sigue la Risa - Season 1 directed by Joaquin Perea in 2016.
Named "Woman of the Year" by Chilango magazine in 2016, she's been known as a "leader exponent of stand-up comedy in Mexico and Latin America", actually being a pioneer of this genre. Her Netflix comedy special, "Sofía Niño de Rivera: Expuesta", was the first comedy special in Spanish by a woman on Netflix. Since it was extremely successful, Sofia presented a second comedy special on Netflix called "Selección Natural" and she's given shows on venues such as the Gotham Comedy Club in New York and the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. As an actress she's starred in her own comedy series on YouTube Premium, called "Sobreviví", which also was the first time she produced an original teleplay series. She appeared on "Club de Cuervos", "Una Mujer Sin Filtro" and "Recuperando a mi Ex". Sofia has also been invited to give talks at different forums, such as: TEDx, Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo in Washington D.C., Foro Eleva Mexicali, and even by Mexico's President Enrique Peña Nieto, to share dialogue.
