Simon was born in Mirfield West Yorkshire (hence the accent) emigrating to Perth WA at the age of thirteen.He began acting in amateur at the age of twenty before return to the UK to study Performing Arts at The University of East Anglia.After graduating (1996) he moved to London and spent the next two years touring the UK and Europe performing Shakespeare (MacBeth and The Tempest) with the Jactito Theatre company. Various roles followed in film, television and theatre, working with the BBC and the Discovery channel and several fringe theatre's (Two Way Mirror/ Black Dog)plus the Da Vinci Code(directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou). Simon returned to Perth in 2006 to study a Masters In Film and Television at Curtin University, graduating with distinction in 2009. Since being back in Perth he has acted in several film productions including the DigiSPAA awarding winning film "Little Sparrows" directed by Yu-Hsiu Camille Chen and more recently "Son of a Gun" starring Ewan McGregor and the mini drama "The War That Changed Us".
