Sharofat Arabova

Sharofat Arabova was born on May 16, 1985 in Uzbekistan. Sharofat Arabova's big-screen debut came with Flying High directed by Sharofat Arabova in 2010.

Sharofat Arabova is a filmmaker of Tajik, Arabic and Uyghur origin based in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. She graduated in Cultural Studies from Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University in Dushanbe, and in Film Direction from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII, Pune). Member of Filmmakers' Union of Tajikistan. She also holds a PhD and conducts research in history of Tajik and Soviet cinema.
