Sean Thomas
Sean Thomas was born on Apr 28, 1979 in Canada. Sean Thomas's big-screen debut came with Kemper directed by Rick Bitzelberger in 2008, strarring Ross.
Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. After studying business and attending the University of Western Ontario for four years, he abruptly bought a one-way ticket and boarded a Greyhound Bus. 64 hours later he was dropped off on the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave. (an intersection he would come to know all too well). He immediately enrolled in the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Though he would have many homes over the next several years (hostels, rental cars, couches, the stage, backseat of a 1987 Cadillac etc.), the theatre ultimately became his real home, diligently tuning and re-tuning his instrument scene after scene, play after play, and learning every aspect of theater production. After graduation, he was offered and agreed to direct and play two roles in Neil LaBute's BASH-3 Plays for which he was honored with Best Actor and Best Director nominations from the Backstage Garland Awards. Since 2005, he has continued to bring stories and characters to life that he feels will move, invoke thought and (hopefully) change the hearts and minds of those whom the work reaches. Many of the plays he produces, directs and/or performs in (Los Muertos, Junebug versus Hurricane, Burn This and The Chicago Conspiracy Trial) have received critical acclaim (Los Angeles Times, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Backstage, LA Weekly) and have been artistically and commercially successful. Sean continues to work steadily and feels very fortunate to have been cast in such feature films as Dysmorphia and Redland (2010 Independent Spirit Award nominee, winner of Best Feature at the Raindance Film Festival) that are now being recognized for their artistic merit. Recently, Sean spent 56 days living off the land in the high desert 25 miles outside of Boulder, Utah, preparing a role that was then performed 1500 feet above the town on a mesa/mountain to sold-out audiences.
