He received his BA degree in Communication Studies from Sonoma State University. In 2018, Scott was named an Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Semifinalist. In 2019, he was awarded the Deb Bauer Unsung Hero Award from the Catalina Film Festival for his film, Father of the Flying Car (2022). Scott Hardie has built a career on telling stories that examine the collision between art and science.
