Scott Altman

Scott Altman was born on Jan 25, 1979 in Ireland. Scott Altman's big-screen debut came with Red Carpet directed by Scott Altman in 2021.

Scott Altman started in the film industry as a teenager, when he worked as a pyrotechnician at Ardmore Studios, before training in animation and VFX. Hired by MTV in London, Scott created Promax award-winning campaigns for the MTV Europe Music Awards. The following years saw him in huge demand as a director for projects across Europe.In 2013, Altman won the Wide Eye Media (formally Carlton Screen Advertising) Director of the Year award for his cinema advert to promote Hot Press magazine. That year he worked with Kanye West and soon after set-up Defunct Films where he has directed and executive-produced hit pop videos for Shift K3Y, Philip George & Anton Powers and Jax Jones, that have received millions of views online and been Top 20 most downloaded videos on iTunes. Soon afterwards, Scott was commissioned by Saatchi & Saatchi to direct a series of adverts to promote soft drink FreshBe and directed a pilot involving actors Alan Ford (Snatch), Adam Fogerty (Legend), Natasha Byrne (Holby City) and new talents.More recently, Scott's documentary film in relation to homelessness, involving Academy Award Winner Glen Hansard and Academy Award Nominee Jim Sheridan, won Best Short Documentary at the Dublin Independent Film Festival. In 2021, Scott's first feature film that was shot in Los Angeles was released on Apple TV in the US and Amazon Prime Video in all English speaking territories globally.
