Sabahattin Ali

Sabahattin Ali was born on Feb 25, 1907 in Greece. Sabahattin Ali's big-screen debut came with Kuyucakli Yusuf directed by Feyzi Tuna in 1985. Sabahattin Ali is known for Wings of Desire directed by Wim Wenders, Bruno Ganz stars as Damiel and Solveig Dommartin as Marion. The upcoming new movie Sabahattin Ali plays is Sonsuz Ask which will be released on Mar 24, 2017.

Sabahattin Ali was born in Komotini, Greece, 1917; and assassinated in Kirklareli, Turkey, 1948. He worked as a teacher in Yozgat, Aydin, Konya and Ankara for couple of years. In 1945, Ali started to publish humorous and opposing magazine Marko Pasa. He arrested in 1948 for an article and sentenced for three months. Sabahattin Ali wanted to escape abroad, because government was chasing him all the time. A soldier called Ali Ertekin killed him when Ali was trying to escape from Turkey. This assassination still preserves its mystery.
