Ryôsuke Takahashi was born on Jan 11, 1943 in Japan. Ryôsuke Takahashi's big-screen debut came with Blue Gender: The Warrior directed by Kôichi Ôhata in 2002.
Graduated in Tokyo. Debuted in animation in the first 60s, doing several tasks from planning to scripting TV series until his debut as director with second TV series of "Cyborg 009" (1979-80). Joined Nippon Sunrise Animation Company in 1981. Here, he was finally able to direct his own personal projects beginning with the TV series "Taiyo no Kiba Doug Ram" ("Sun Fangs Doug Ram") in 1981. Debuted as film director with the theater version of "Doug Ram" in 1983.
