Born in the northern Portuguese city of Porto, Rodrigo came to Lisbon in the late eighties to begin his career as a journalist. He graduated in Journalism (Comunicação Social) at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and soon started as a sports reporter at RTP, the public television station. In 1992 he was part of the pioneer team that launched the first private TV station in Portugal - SIC Televisão. Nowadays Rodrigo is the anchor of the 8 o'clock news "Jornal da Noite" at SIC, writes books, screenplays and theater plays. He is one the most accomplished professionals in the Portuguese journalism.
