Robert is the second of four boys. His parents are Raymond and Angie Tiffe. He graduated from Bedford High School. He then studied Fine Arts at Cooper Art School in Cleveland, Ohio. When he moved to Los Angeles he enrolled at Film Industry Workshops Inc. in Studio City, where he continued his education in directing and acting. During this time he also gained experience as a cameraman and gaffer. In April 1991 he directed and produced and edited his first feature Dead End (1992). Two years later he directed, produced, wrote and acted in his second feature Sword of Honor (1996). During this time, one of his scripts was acquired and made into the feature Pari mortel (1992). His knowledge of fine art, directing, acting, writing, cinematography, producing and editing gives him a well balanced sensibility as a filmmaker.He co-wrote the feature Face of Terror (2004). He has just finished shooting Hatchetman (2003), which he directed and co-wrote based on an original script of his.
