Rita is an Actress, bilingual Host & former beauty queen from Venezuela of Panamanian/Greek decent who became the 1st person from San Antonio, Texas to become a "Castaway" the CBS Reality Show, Survivor. On film, Rita has had Lead Actress roles on ABC network's show "What Would You Do?" as well as several Indie films. Her career on film started with a role on the feature film "Marked For Death," with Steven Seagal. On television she has been a Guest Host on HSN & Fox's Utilisima network & MSN Latin as well as a Correspondent and Producer on the internet show "Latin Connection TV," and an In-Arena Host for the San Antonio Spurs Org. She has also been a bilingual News Anchor/Co-Producer for Telemundo and Fox News. Rita has also been featured as a "Runway/Beauty Pageant" Expert on the Canadian TV show "Reality Obsessed," which received a Canadian Emmy nomination. Rita is also a highly requested Emcee for many Charity events. Breast Cancer, CFF and Special Needs are the causes most near and dear to her heart. Rita has received several awards for her work on television the "Outstanding Achievement in Entertainment" Award by the La Prensa Newspaper (07). The other for her philanthropic work, the prestigious "Call to Service" Award given by the President of the United States for Lifetime Achievement in Volunteerism (2011).
