Renate Hoy

Renate Anita Huy was born in Germany and originally came to the United States for the first Miss Universe contest. Thereafter, she was signed to Universal and made several films during the 1950s. She had two children, Rock Halsey and Tracy Leigh Simpson, with actor Brett Halsey. They eventually divorced and Renate married a prominent Long Beach attorney, Raymond C. Simpson, who specialized in Native American civil rights. The couple had one child, Richard James Simpson. Renate currently resides in Southern California.
