Reid McGowan was born on Apr 13, 1993 in New Zealand. Reid Stannus McGowan was born in Auckland, New Zealand. At the age of four, he began attending Gymnastics classes and soon after began competing. He attended Balmoral primary and intermediate school, and later attended Mount Albert Grammar High School. Reid continued gymnastics all through school and later represented New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games and World championships, in 2014. Retiring at age 21, he then worked on finishing a commerce degree from the University of Auckland. Graduating in 2016, Reid started attending acting classes and worked several jobs, including: Land Rover salesman, nanny, and commercial real estate. In 2018, he landed the role of "Steel" on Power Rangers and filmed 37 episodes, in seasons 26 & 27. After wrapping the production in 2019, he moved to Sydney, Australia. He is currently studying at drama school and will graduate from the Actors Centre of Australia in 2022.
