Rebecca Mahnkopf was born 1979 in the small town of Bückeburg, Germany. Soon she planned her escape to the big city. After some time in Melbourne and Hamburg she finally made it to Berlin and found a new home in television. She only planned to do a short internship at German production company Spiegel TV. Well, that's not what happened. She stayed at Spiegel TV and Spiegel Online for 10 years working as TV News producer and reporter.But the small town life called once again. In Ludwigsburg she studied screen writing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.These days she is back in Berlin working as a screenwriter and journalist. She promised herself never to leave the big city ever again.
