Ramses Jimenez

Ramses Jimenez was born on May 10, 1983 in Dominican Republic. Ramses Jimenez's big-screen debut came with Boricua directed by Marisol Adler in 2004, strarring Willy. Ramses Jimenez is known for Vida directed by Jenée LaMarque, Melissa Barrera stars as Lyn and Mishel Prada as Emma. The upcoming new movie Ramses Jimenez plays is Critical Thinking which will be released on Sep 04, 2020.

Ramses was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, but because his parents divorced early on in his life, he split his youth between Santo Domingo and the south side of Chicago. Experiencing two completely different cultures at the same time sparked his passion as an artist. Ramses studied at Columbia College Chicago where he majored in Film Directing. While there, Jimenez began his acting career quite unexpectedly after an interview for an on-set gaffing position took a surprise turn. Director Marisol Torres convinced him to audition for the lead role in the independent film "Chicago Boricua". The film launched his career as an actor. From there, he went on to do various independent films and three studio films Lets Go to Prison, Batman: Dark Knight, Nothing Like the Holidays which all shot in Chicago. In television, Ramses made appearances such as Law and Order, CSI, CSI Miami, In Plain Sight, Supah Ninjas, Prime Suspects, Code Black, The Catch. Then he was cast as a recurring character on Fear The Walking Dead, Wisdom of The Crowd for CBS and Vida for Starz. Most recently, Jimenez starred opposite John Leguizamo in Critical Thinking, an indie feature directed by Leguizamo based on a true story that takes place in 1998 Miami Jackson Senior Highschool chess team that defies the odds to become the first urban high school to win the U.S National Chess Championship. Ramses began researching human trafficking upon learning that on the island where he was born, organ trafficking has become growing concern. He decided to write and direct a film to expose these atrocities. His film with the working title Isolated Victim, is about children that are disappearing from Haitian orphanages. The film is currently in post production.
