Rafael Fracacio was born on Mar 28, 1980 in Brazil. Rafael Fracacio's big-screen debut came with O Diário de Julia directed by Rafael Fracacio in 2003.

Rafael Fracácio de Azevedo was born in Rio de Janeiro, RJ - Brazil, on March 28th 1980. First son of a middle-class family, Rafael developed his first interests for arts at childhood. As a kid, always had been involved in school's artistic events, such as musical performances, theater, drawings and paintings, and what he loved most: writing. As he was growing old, also was his artistic talent. At the age of fifteen he joined his first rock and roll group and had already written four novels and dozens of poems. One year later, Rafael was awarded for his project about Cinema History. In 1997 started to produce and direct his first short movie, "Cinco Dias", which was shot in VHS. In 1999 recorded his first single with his band. In 2001 he went to college to study cinema. Taught by Cinema Novo masters Ruy Guerra, Dib Lutfi, Mario Carneiro, Silvio Autuori, Walter Goulart, and contemporary screenwriters Jorge Duran and Paulo Halm, Rafael wrote several articles about movies and started the production of his first full-lenght movie, the documentary "Underground Rock" (that is still in production). In 2002 worked on three films: "Sexólogos Anônimos", "As Vozes da Verdade" (directed by Pedro Neschling), and directed the psychedelic "O Diário de Júlia" (that would be released only in 2004). In 2003, worked on several films, including "Por Trás do Espelho", "Auto-Estrada", "225 g", "Mater Dei", "Atos Internos", and "A Testemunha". During this period, being involved with the "Underground Rock" documentary, and always in contact with the Brazilian music industry, worked as a journalist to the "Let's Rock!" website and started writing a book about unknown rock history events and people. Nowadays, Rafael Fracácio is involved in the production of his new film (not yet titled), and being the executive producer of a play inspired by the film "Before Sunrise".
