Text: Switzerland's most famous rock musician Urs "Polo" Hofer was born on March 16th, 1945 in Interlaken. His first album Polo's Pop Tails (1968) was in English. In the mid 70s Polo was the leader of the band "Rumpelstilz". The single "Kiosk" taken from the album "Füüf Narre Im Charre" (1976) was their biggest hit. They were one of the first groups to sing in Swiss German. A few years later, he formed "Polo's Schmetterding". These guys played together until the early 80s. In 1983 he formed the "SchmetterBand".
