Paula Romy
Paula Romy was born on Aug 03, 1993 in Germany. Paula Romy's big-screen debut came with Fly directed by Katja von Garnier in 2021.
Paula was born and grew up in Berlin. She moved to England to attend Hurtwood House, where she completed her A-Levels in Film and Dance. She left her professional dance career behind to focus on Film, by first studying Business Management at Queen Mary University and attending the Directing Course at Met Film School London. She then shot her first short film "Binary", which was funded by Industrial Light & Magic as part of their young talent development program. She then began working as 1st AD, which gave her plenty hands-on experience and made her become a practical and goal-oriented director. Most recently, she created and co-wrote Studio Canal's new dance film "FLY" directed by Katja von Garnier, in collaboration with the popular dance crew Flying Steps. She also directed the 2nd Unit. Paula is now writing her debut feature film for Constantin Film, while continuing to make shorts and music videos.
