Oscar Mueller was born in Stuttgart. Before he became an actor he had trained as a banker. From 1940 - 1945 he was in the army. After WW II he took acting lessons with Rudolf Ferchau. In 1946 first acting appearances in the "Stuttgart Wilhelma Theatre" and the "Komoedie im Marquardt". In 1948 Oscar Mueller's career with the South German broadcast began which lasted for more than 50 years. Apart from his television and broadcasting activities he started a career as a successful singer of songs in the Swabian dialect although he always said he could not sing.
