Olivier Martel was born in Gatineau, Quebec. He loves the cinema and written stories. Later in his early teens, Olivier had created humorous sketches with his friend Simon Gonzales and after he performed a role in the video vignettes of horrors directed. In September 2006, he met Mathieu Bourassa-Simpson and Simon Legros. At first, Olimatsim was for humorous sketches and later they wanted to make short films. Olivier undertook the project of which Simon Gonzales was shot in March 2006 but after it was canceled. Since 2009, the film is called Blue Sea strange man who was also a great success. For two years Olimatsim Films took a break since the departure of Mathieu. After this Olimatsim join in the creation of the new franchise "Les Derniers de classe" with Simon Gonzales April 22, 2010. Now, Mathieu is back in Olimatsim, Olivier directed his new short film "Midnight Stranger" and it is full writing on the draft "Crépuscule d'octobre". He is engaged to Andréanne Valin since April 2012 .
