Born in London, England, Oliver began his career primarily as an actor appearing in numerous theatrical productions in the UK and Australia. Upon graduating from Monash University in Australia with a Bachelor of Performing Arts, Oliver founded The Full Moon Theatre Company. Productions included a stage adaptation of Anthony Burgess' "A Clockwork Orange" as well as original works by Cowley including the critically acclaimed "Creation" and "Conversation With An Angel" in which he wrote, directed and also performed. Since becoming a US citizen, Oliver has worked extensively in the TV and film industry as a writer, director, producer, editor and actor. Oliver co-founded the Global Mana Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding solutions to environmental problems facing humanity, where he has produced over 50 documentaries. A active campaigner for liberty, truth and justice, Oliver resides in Los Angeles, London and occasionally Melbourne.
