Nicolo Donato was born on October 10th 1974 in Copenhagen, Denmark.In 2001 Nicolo Donato studied at Copenhagen Media School "Rampen". In the following eight years Nicolo focused on art and fashion photography. In 2002 he did a promotion video for 2PM Model Agency and shortly after he finished his first short film "Marcus" in 2003. From the years 2003 to 2008 Nicolo Donato wrote and directed no less than seven short films including "TOGETHERNESS" which was shown at Festival de Cannes in 2007, a TV commercial for Telmore (DK), and four music video including a video campaign for Amnesty International starring the internationally acknowledged Danish band "The Raveonettes". In 2008/2009 Nicolo Donato finished his first feature film "BROTHERHOOD" which received an award for Best Film at Rome International Film Festival (2009), a Special Jury Award at the Miami Gay And Lesbian Film Festival (2010) and no less than 6 Robert nominations including "best film" and "best director" (Danish Academy Award) and 2 Bodil nominations (Danish Critics Awards). In 2010 Nicolo Donato made yet another music video for the Danish singer and songwriter Søren Huss starring the Danish actress Sonja Richter. Nicolo Donato is currently working on his second feature film "Across The Waters".
