He wrote for Cid Caesar's Your Show of Shows (1950) with Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner and was Cid Caesar's stand in when Cid wanted to see how a sketch was going. Mel once told him, "Milt, don't be too funny." He spent time with Groucho Marx.
