Milica-Carka Jovanovic began her acting career in 1919 in the traveling company of Ljubo Vukomanovic, and then she was a member of the theater of Petar Hristilic (1921, 1924, 1925/26) Dusan Zivotic (1921/22, 1923 // 24, 1928-1930) Nikola Joksimovic , she acted in the Nis National Theater (1922/23), in Bitola (1924/25). In 1930, she came to Banja Luka to the newly founded National Theater. After eleven seasons spent in Banja Luka and about 250 roles played, she went to Belgrade (Art Theater 1941-1943, City Theater 1945/46, Yugoslav Drama Theater 1947-1949, Film Theater 1949-1951), and then played for a short time. in Pozarevac (1946/47) and Valjevo (1947). She retired in 1951.
