Michael Shapiro was born in Springfield, Mass, in 1965. Of Jewish ancestry, Mike first got the taste of theatre when he played God in a school production. In 1987 he helped launch the Annex Theatre and participated in many productions. Voice acting soon caught his attention. For years, Mike voiced various characters from many different and diverse games. From 1998 onward, he provided voices in the Half-Life franchise of video games. Mike is an acclaimed theatre and television show director and is now living in Brooklyn, New York with his wife and two children.
