Mihnea Gheorghiu was a Romanian writer.He was born on May 5 1919 in Bucuresti, Romania . He attended the primary school "Madona Dudu" and the high school "Fratii Buzesti" in Craiova, then he studied literature and philosophy at the University of Bucharest, and in 1947 he received his doctorate. He was elected a member of the Romanian Academy in 1996.Known for screenwriter in films Porto-Franco (1962), Tanase Scatiu(1976) and Burebista (1980).
