Michael Reed was born on Mar 18, 1987 in Yugoslavia [now Croatia]. Michael Reed's big-screen debut came with BloodRayne: The Third Reich directed by Uwe Boll in 2011, strarring German Soldier (as Mitja Smiljanic).

Started studying acting in 2005. at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, Croatia, before he finished high school.He is the voice of Mickey Mouse in Croatia.His debut as an on screen writer, producer, executive producer and director was in February 2008. at the age of 20 by making a 46-minute drama "If I Could. . ." ("Da Mogu. . ." - Croatian title)His father Bozidar Smiljanic, mother Mirjana Sinozic and his half-brother Branko Smiljanic are also actors.His father Bozidar Smiljanic directed him in 2005 at the age of 18 in an amateur play by Dora Delbianco "The Conductor" ("Dirigent"), which was his first leading role and for which they shared an award for the best amateur play that year, right before Michael was chosen for studying at the Academy of dramatic arts.
