The youngest of five children, Michael Kelber was born in Lakewood, New Jersey. Although he was born in Lakewood, he was raised in Bricktown. His parents were divorced when he was just two years of age and he was raised by his mother, Patricia A. Kelber. After high school Michael attended college briefly before joining the United States Navy. It was in the Navy he discovered his true purpose was to become an actor. The 1988 film "Permanent Record" changed his mind about his future and gave him direction. After separating from the military in 1991, he lived in Germany for several months and then went back to college in New Jersey. He decided to make the move to New York City in 1995 in pursuit of an acting career. There he studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts as well as H.B. Studio. He appeared in several off Broadway productions, independent films and television shows. It was there that he met his wife, Patricia Lara, and then decided to make the move to Los Angeles. Since arriving in Los Angeles, he has worked in front of the camera as and actor and behind the camera as a director. He wrote, produced and directed his first feature film in 2006 entitled "Bricktown" and also wrote, produced, acted in and directed a sitcom pilot entitled HOA (Home Owner's Association). He continues to chase his dream with the support of his loving wife.
