Fishbowl California received nationwide distribution from Gravitas Ventures, as well as a non-exclusive streaming rights deal with Hulu. His latest work can be seen in the upcoming indie drama, The Shade Shepherd, directed by Chris Faulisi, which he is credited as one of the executive producers. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, MacRae resides in Los Angeles as of 2010.
