Melody Chen was born on Nov 02, 1977 in Singapore. Melody Chen's big-screen debut came with Street Angels directed by David Lam in 1999.

Melody was born and raised in Singapore to a Singaporean-Chinese father and a Thai-English mother. After completing her O'levels, Melody juggled tertiary education while starring in a regular role for Singapore's local television sitcom, Happy Belly ( 1996 ).
