Maya Dragomanska is Bulgarian theater and film actress . In 1970 she graduated acting at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria. Then in the period 1971-1975 she was in the company of Plovdiv Drama Theater "N. O. Masalitinov ", taking roles in several productions, including: Rita Osyanina in "A mornings are quiet here" by Vasilev, director Pantalei Panteleev; Hattie in "I see the sun" by Dumbadze, director Pantalei Panteleev; Ellison in "Turn Back in Anger" by John Osborne, director Ivan Dobchev; Selim in "Misanthrope" by Moliere, directed by Lyuben Groys. In the period 1975-1989, she played in Theater "Sofia" , as her most memorable appearances are roles in the following plays: Hermiona in "Winter's Tale" by William Shakespeare , directed by Lyuben Groys; K. Havadjieva in "Tango" by Anton Strashimirov , director Vili Tsankov; Natasha in "Three Sisters" by Anton Chekhov , directed by Leon Daniel. Since 1990 she was a part of the Little City Theatre "Off the Channel", where she played the following roles: Ruth in "The Homecoming" by Harold Pinter , directed by Stoyan Kambarev; Emma in "Betrayal" by Harold Pinter, directed by Ivo Siromahov; Wife in "Maestro Hunger - last session" by Kafka , Ruzhevich, director Ivan Dobchev; Petranova in "Golemanov" by St. Kostov , director Marius Kurkinski; Polina Andreevna in "The Seagull" by Anton Chekhov, director Galin Stoev. Besides the many performances in theater, she has roles in Bulgarian movies in the period 1968-1978: "The beginning of a vacation" , directed by Zako Heskiya ; "Longest Night" , directed by Valo Radev ; "Birds and hounds" , directed by Gueorgui Stoyanov; "Five from Moby Dick" , director Grisha Ostrovsky; "Heaven on Veleka" and "The Hare Census" directed by Eduard Sachariev; "Little Secrets" , directed by Staudt; "Galileo Galilei" , directed by Liliana Hawaii; "Invisible target" (the role of Isabella Solano) - 4 and 5 series of crime series, the director Peter Hagen. She has also several appearances in children's television productions and productions of Bulgarian National Television's Theater of . In 1974 she took a Prize for theater's achievements in Plovdiv and in 1983 she won the award of National Review of Bulgarian drama and theater.
