Masayuki Akehi

Masayuki Akehi was born on Mar 17, 1932 in Japan. Masayuki Akehi's big-screen debut came with Gurendaizâ, Gettâ Robo jî, Gurêto Majingâ - Kessen! Daikaijû directed by Masayuki Akehi in 1976. Masayuki Akehi is known for Sen-nen joô directed by Masayuki Akehi, Keiko Han stars as Yayoi Yukino and Keiko Toda as Hajime Amamori. The upcoming new movie Masayuki Akehi plays is Saint Seiya: Warriors of the Final Holy Battle which will be released on Jun 21, 1991.

Joined Toei Doga at the beginning of the 60s and very soon directed episodes of animation TV series "Hustle Punch", "Gegege no Kitarô" and "Akko-chan's Secret". In the 70s he focused on robot series created by Dynamic Pro.("Grendizer", "Getter Robot G", "Great Mazinger"...) and in 1976 was promoted to chief director. His first full-length film as a director was "Cyborg 009" (1980).
