Martín Deus is an Argentinean director, scriptwriter and producer, born in La Plata in 1979. My best friend (2018), his first feature film, won the Grand Prix at Cannes Écrans Junior competition and was licensed to Netflix. He studied filmmaking at the International Film School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. His shorts have participated at more than fifty international film festivals, such as Sundance, Seattle, San Sebastian, Reeling Chicago, Frameline San Francisco, Biarritz, Clermont Ferrand, Sapporo and Rencontres de Cinéma d'Amérique Latine de Toulouse. He is also a music videos director, with famous Argentinian rock bands such as Tan Bionica and Bersuit Vergarabat being among his clients. He is directing a Disney + original series (production from April to November 2021) to be released in July 2022, produced by Pampa Films. "Coria & Sagasto", his next feature project produced by Pensa & Rocca, has been recently admitted by the Argentinean Film Board (INCAA) and will start preproduction in mid 2022.
