Martin Coiffier was born in 1973 in Paris. He studied cinema for three years there and completed military service shooting documentaries for the audiovisual department of the French Marine Corp. In 1996 he shot the short film "Thank's George" then he began to work as assistant director and unit manager on full-length films directed by Bigas Luna, Andre Techine, Philippe De Brocca, Jacques Monet. In 2002 he directed and produced the short film "The Ace", which won awards in numerous Spanish festivals. From 2003 to date he wrote two full-length films, and he's about to direct one of them as his first feature film (forseen shooting in August 2005).
