Markus is a German born business graduate and spirited entrepreneur who converted his long time passion for filmmaking and sports into a market leading production company within the road cycling industry.Markus started his entrepreneur career while still at college. At age 19, he opened and operated the Bavarian themed restaurant Edelweiss in South Florida. After selling the restaurant four years later, he moved back to Europe in 1997 to join the opening team of Planet Hollywood in Munich and London.He departed the hospitality industry in 1999 to join the consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble as a Business Analyst in London, UK and Geneva, Switzerland. During his six years at P&G, he was in charge of preparing competitive analysis reports and providing marketing support for European Health Care, Pet Care and Fabric Care divisions (Crest, Vicks, IAMS, Dawn, Tide)Re-connecting with his entrepreneurial spirit, Markus left P&G in 2005 to launch the sports production company Cyclefilm, specializing in media coverage for the professional road cycling industry. Cyclefilm produces branded video content for Specialized, Garmin, Cannondale, Mavic and many more. Frequent production assignments have allowed Markus to cover every major pro-cycling event on the calendar from the Tour de France to the World Championships to the Giro d' Italia.In 2014, Markus teamed up with his two brothers to enter the world of tech startups with social messaging App Kyngo. As the Content Marketing Manager, he is responsible for producing, filming and editing engaging videos to be shared across the company's social platforms. He also defines the media strategy in collaboration with the management team to optimize user adoption and App installs.
