Maria de Lima is an Award Winning actress with an international career that spans Stage, Screen and Television. Maria's most recent credits include the TV series 'Apocalypse', The lead role Mother and Death in the acclaimed new stage version of 'Blood Wedding', the lead role in the world stage premiere of 'Diluvio', "I Am Henry", winner of 12 film awards, including a prestigious REMI, where she plays Catherine of Aragon and the lead role in the acclaimed play "There is Someone Who Hates Us", a National Theatre of Scotland / Oran Mor Theatre production. She has also performed in leading roles in the prestigious Theatres of The Almeida "Blood Wedding", opposite Gael Garcia Bernal, The Pleasance "Throats", The Nuffield "The Seduction of Anne Boleyn", The Orange Tree "Ay Federico". Maria de Lima was awarded Best Comedy Actress on Stage in Portugal's A Capital Awards. Maria started her screen career opposite Mickey Rooney in "The Milky Life"; She has appeared in numerous TV series including in the UK.
