María Coral was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was introduced to the performing arts at a very young age, and began her career as a child actor. María Coral has a double Bachelors Degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, in Theater and Communications. In 2019 she won, for her work in the film 'MARÍA', the award for best actress at the European Film Festival, and the award for best actress by the Puerto Rico Film Foundation Cinefiesta. Her work has been nominated at the New York Latino Film Festival, Festival des Films du Monde in Canada, and the Los Angeles Latino Film Festival. She has been trained with professor and director Dean Zayas, Carola García, Lorena Bayonas, and Scott Miller from the New York University.Overall, she is one of the most exciting up and coming Puerto Rican actors.
