Marcie Daneal Leeds was born on November 14, 1977 in Port Jefferson, New York. She was just 3 years old when she moved to California with her family and her younger brother. She began acting at the age of 6 years old, getting her first job as young Lucy Baines Johnson in the movie of the week, "LBJ, the Early Years." She had a small part but that began the snowball of roles shortly, thereafter. After a series of short guest starring roles Leeds had the audition that would boost her to stardom. At age 11, she auditioned to play the young Hillary Whitney in Beaches, and was instantly lifted to stardom. She was last seen in a guest starring role on the series "Parenthood", starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Ed Begley, Jr. She played Gary's (Leonardo DiCaprio) girlfriend. She has since quit the acting business and pursued a professional career in medicine. Driven by her education, Leeds attended medical school at Ross University Medical School on Dominica. She graduated with an M.D. in 2006 and is attending a surgical residency in Phoenix, Arizona with her brother Steven Leeds.
