Mandakini

Mandakini was born on Jul 30, 1963 in India. Mandakini's big-screen debut came with Ram Teri Ganga Maili directed by Raj Kapoor in 1985. Mandakini is known for Simhasanam directed by Krishna, Krishna stars as Vikrama Simha and Aditya Vardhana and Jaya Prada as Princess Alkananda Devi. The upcoming new movie Mandakini plays is Pyar Ke Naam Qurban which will be released on Jan 05, 1990.

Attractive, talented, young Mandakini won the hearts of millions of Indians worldwide in her performance in "Ram Teri Ganga Melli". Thereafter her name was a household name. She starred with Mithun Chakraborty in another hit movie "Dance Dance" which won many accolades for her. Since her other passion was singing, she released two albums named: "No Vacancy", and "Shambala". in 1990 she married Dr. R. Thakur of Bombay, India, and since then the marriage has been intact. She has a son from this marriage. Since 1996 her fans have not seen any new releases, and many hope that she returns to the silver screen again.
